日常生活中，常常會出現計畫趕不上變化的事，例如原本計畫好要去哪裏，但卻臨時生變，我們跑去做了另外一件事！此時英文應該怎麼說？
此時，was/were “supposed to” or “going to”就可以派上用場。
例1：
1.I was supposed to call my mom, but I didn’t.
2.I was supposed to visit my friend, but He wasn’t home.
3.I was supposed to talk to my boss, but he was too busy.
例2 :
1.We were going to buy some milk, but the store was closed.
2.I was going to send the check, but I didn’t have enough money in my account.
3.He was going to fix the computer, but he came home too late.
總結來說，當我們想闡述我們曾經計畫做某件事，卻因計畫生變而變故時，was/were “supposed to” or “going to”就可以派上用場，先說I was supposed/going to …..，後面再說明原因。
