學會一門語言最重要的就是讓自己有個英文環境，然後大量地泡腦子，讓自己處在該語言環境下，Chris Lonsdale在演講一開始就提到，要學會一門語言，就向已經成功學會該語言的人學習。
另外要找切身相關的語言內容，例如如果我們明天要使用英文開會，這時我們就會找一堆關於會議的英文字彙來學習，這就是與自己切身相關的意思，當語言內容與我們切身相關，我們就能以很不可思議的速度學習。
同時，我們還必須讓自己不斷地聽，Chris Lonsdale提到，重點不在於我們是否真正地了解意思，重點在於我們聽的夠多，當我們聽得夠多，就能夠逐漸推敲出含義，但在有足夠的Output之前，我們得先有大量的Input，也就是大量地聽。
