1、stocks、shares、portfolio——股票、股票、？？ 傻傻分不清楚
1) stocks = 股票，股權（partial ownership）
2) shares = 一股（equal piece of stock）
如果你說 “I have stocks.” 就表示你可能在5家不同公司都有持股，都是股東。
但如果是 “I have shares.” 那就表示你的股權限定在一家公司裡，而到底有多少share呢？這時候你就可以說10%,50%…
3)portfolio = 投資組合（the collection of your investment）
因此stocks 和shares 都算在portfolio的範疇內
2、除了股票，還有哪些投資方式？
bonds 債券。風險較低，當然回報也比較少了（Bonds have low risk and low yields.）
mutual funds 共同基金。意思就是某個人向大家集資，把得來的錢拿去投資，賺來的錢再按照當初集資的百分比來瓜分，So everyone gets his share/return.
3、「熊市」？「牛市」？——股市的兩種不同表現
bear market 熊市，就像熊掌（palm）大力地拍下去，市值壓縮，股市狀況當然慘兮兮（The value of the market is going down.）。
bull market 牛市，就像牛用他的角（horn）用力往上頂，市值就抬高了（The value of the market is going up.）。
*熊市、牛市、指數（index）的關係？
In a bear market, the index will star to moving down. 熊市的指數往往呈下降趨勢。
In a bull market, the index will start to moving up. 牛市的指數往往呈上升趨勢。
4、股票為什麼還有藍色的——“blue chip stocks” 是什麼意思？
blue chip stocks指的是大公司的股票，績優股。通常這種公司，就是像微軟、蘋果這樣，表現良好，值得信賴，他們的股票一般不會讓你賠本。
如果你是保守的投資人（conservative investors），不想冒太多風險，卻想保證投進去的錢一定不會虧本，那blue chip stocks就一定很適合你了。
